gita (pronounced JEE’-tah) is a following robot. It pairs with a person and tracks their path and movement while avoiding obstacles.
Machine vision
gita follows people using vision. It doesn’t track a signal or anything special you need to carry or wear. It also doesn’t use a map or GPS.
Pairing
Pairing with gita happens by standing in front of gita and touching a button.
Pedestrian etiquette
gita is the first consumer robot programmed with pedestrian etiquette. It understands and anticipates the movement of the person it is following as well as the other people around them.
