We have a passion for living locally and believe that shopping small makes a big impact. Finding those little local treasures is one of our favorite pastimes. In honor of Black History Month, we’re sharing some not-to-be-missed Black-owned shops and businesses in three of our favorite walkable cities: Atlanta, Seattle, and Austin.

Percussion farms & reserves growing community @percussionfarms 507 28th Ave
This mission-minded farm works to undo racism and other oppressions that prevent access to nutrition and healthy spaces for people of color. In addition to growing healthy produce, this urban farm provides gardening and food preservation classes, employment, and volunteer programs for people exiting the prison system.
You + Brie, LLC Graze Box and Picnic Experience @youandbrie
A charcuterie/graze box company that caters to the individual and small intimate gatherings. You + Brie prides itself on sourcing local produce and products from merchants in the Austin, TX area and other vendors.

Melanted Market Place is a space for the Black and brown businesses of the Austin area to sell, promote, and network with like-minded entrepreneurs. Through monthly gatherings (now gone virtual), the Melanted Market Place connects the Black and brown entrepreneurs of the Austin community and gives them a platform to connect with consumers.
